Alan, aka the Token White Guy, hosted the show completely by himself tonight as everyone else apparently had better things to do. The solo gig, along with a "technical glitch" last night on America's Got Talent, along with a Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., win tonight, has Alan doing deep breathing exercises to keep from having to activate the All Digital Network Emergency Alert System (the deep breathing doesn't work). Rickey from Rickey.org calls in to talk about why Landau winning wasn't a surprise to him. Michael calls in to talk about the Silhouettes technical glitch and the rumors about Christina Aguilera getting fired from The Voice. And a caller who had no clue who he was calling led to some interesting conversation in the Shoutbox. Alan also makes a statement on the air claiming to be the whitest white guy that anyone knows, which also leads to an interesting conversation in the Shoutbox. And Alan, just because he can, causes the listeners to go deaf by playing a certain song from last week's America's Got Talent show.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, starts off tonight's show by sharing with the public why the show was on repeats last week, which prompts Sir Darryl to send a very inappropriate tweet, which in turn prompts Alan to tell the world what Sir Darryl did to him today, which prompts Sir Darryl to lie about why I had his car totaled. Live Test Show host, Antubert, calls into the show to ask an extremely important entertainment question. The conversation turns to the atrocity that is Chaz Bono on Dancing with the Stars, prompting Alan to share what the headline will be when Chaz is finally voted off and what the headlines should be since he continues to be voted through. Before leaving, Antubert makes a WAY TOO SOON joke about Steve Jobs. Regular caller Michael calls in to give his two cents about DWTS, then shifts the conversation over to The X Factor. Alan ends the show by screaming, "I have no life" several times. Before you use that as an actual quote, however, you should listen to why Alan says it.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, has a story that he came across right before the show went on the air that he wants to talk about, but he never gets around to it. Instead, he pokes fun at Sir Darryl for airing a Vista Print commercial when the associated ad on the All Digital Radio website doesn't work. Then Alan wonders if he is being heard on TalkRadioX.com, since Radio Dan had earlier tweeted about doing his show at the same time tonight. Live Test Show host Antubert calls in to tell Alan that not only is he being heard tonight, the network may start carrying the Wednesday show as well. The two then rake Sir Darryl over the coals several times. Alan talks about the three TV shows cancelled this week, plays a small clip of Season 10 Top 24 American Idol contestant Tim Halperin's new song, "All you Got," then discusses who made the Top 32 on The X Factor.
With tonight's The X Factor canceled due to the rain delayed American League Championship Series game, Alan, aka the Token White Guy, scrambles to figure out what to talk about since the routine of his show has been messed with. Alan does welcome the Talk Radio X listeners to the Wednesday night show, though he shouldn't have. After Michael calls in, Alan tells the audience how Sir Darryl has attacked him yet again this week. Alan then reveals what he has learned about the plot to the new "Die Hard" sequel, followed by yet more railing against the new "Footloose" movie.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, for once manages to keep most of the topics on the show tonight about the shows that the show follows. While talking about the sales numbers for Scotty McCreery's new album, Sir Darryl calls in to take Alan to task for thinking the numbers would have been higher. It becomes quite clear, however, that Sir Darryl has no idea who he is talking about. American Idol winners David Cook, Lee DeWyze, and Kris Allen are all topic of conversations tonight, as is Season 2 runner-up Clay Aiken. Alan moves on to talking about The X Factor, first answering some questions in the Shoutbox and then discussing a few of the people we saw on the show tonight.
The Idol Radio Show podcast for X, 2011
Hosted by the Token White Guy and X
Chris from Sports At Night joins Alan, aka the Token White Guy, for the first part of the show tonight to talk about whether the Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex will ever get a professional football team. Chris also wants to talk about X Factor's 4Shore. And the guys also mention the tragic crash that killed Indiapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon over the weekend. For the second-half of the show, Alan talks about the AOL TV Readers poll of the Top 10 Classic TV Themes.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, is joined at the start of the show by mj of mjsbigblog.com to talk about two controversies involving The X Factor's Stacy Francis, one that she didn't cause and one she did cause. The first controversy involves Perez Hilton being, well, Perezy, which causes both Alan and mj to unload on him. The second controversy involves allegations that Stacy lied to America about not being able to make it in show business. Former Idol Radio Show Regular Commentator Charlie Spillers joins Alan at the bottom of the hour to talk about his efforts to become an actor in Hollywood and the web series he is creating, American Fez.
Justin Bieber a daddy? That's what a woman in California says, which, if it turns out to be true, means she could be tried for statutory rape. And that's the story Alan, aka the Token White Guy, starts off the show with tonight. The story prompts Michael to call in to give his 44 cents and also mentions Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries break-up. Alan then devotes the rest of the show to The X Factor, including the show's renewal already for next season, the Dexter Haygood and Stacy Francis controversies, and his thoughts about tonight's performances.
An under-the-weather Alan, aka the Token White Guy, pushes past his headache and sore throat to bring you another great hour of radio. After mentioning Bil Keane's passing, Alan goes on a rant about Joe Paterno, the head coach at Penn State, being fired tonight. Eddie Murphy, Lindsay Lohan, Dr. Conrad Murray, and Lou Ferrigno all take up time on the show before Alan moves on to discussing tonight's The X Factor. Comments in the Shoutbox about how "good" Brian Bradley was tonight cause Alan to activate the ADRN Emergency Alert System. Alan then punishes his listeners to yet another singing act who got eliminated this week after singing Aerosmith's "Dream On." Michael calls in to give hi opinion about some of the performances and Alan predicts who will be in the Bottom 2 and who will go home.
A still under the weather Alan, aka the Token White Guy, does the show solo as his co-host for the night, IdolBlogLive.com owner DJ Slim, called in sick. Alan talks about the Bottom 2 on The X Factor, the new Academy Awards host, Piers Morgan leaving America's Got Talent, and Justin Bieber baby daddy drama. Needing to rest his voice, Alan plays what may be the funniest Abbott & Costello routine ever, "Who's On First."
A still recovering Alan, aka the Token White Guy, took to the air tonight despite coughing and sucking in and blowing out snot, all of which he was nice enough to share with the listeners. Alan gave his thoughts about the Finale 3 Dancing with the Stars contestants and praised Rob Kardashain for his growth during the past several weeks. When Alan moved on to talk about the possibility of Howard Stern replacing Piers Morgan as judge on America's got Talent, Sir Darryl simply had to call in to give his approval. After a brief Britney Spears interlude, Alan moved on to talking about The X Factor, including the odds of winning given to the Top 10 by Paddy Power.
It's just not Alan's, aka the Token White Guy's, night on the Idol Radio Show. First, Alan still has mucus galore up his nostrils. Secondly, Queen Angie joins Alan as co-host tonight. Then the Soundboard won't load. Then Alan blows a forehead vein over the stunt Brian Bradley pulled tonight on The X Factor. After a conversation about Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher divorcing, Regis Philbil leaving, Justin Bieber not a daddy, and Adam Lambert's non-elegibility to be on American Idol, Alan tries to turn the talk back to The X Factor. But a few unruly listeners decide to praise Queen Angie instead, which really just caps a horrible night for the poor Token White Guy.
The (sometimes) genius ChuckRitt joined Alan, aka the Token White Guy, for tonight's Idol Radio Show. The two started the night with along discussion about Brian "Astro Turkey" Bradley
and his myriad apologies during the past week. After the guys finish cooking the turkey, they move on to other entertainment news, including Rebecca Black, Howard Stern, Pamela Anderson, South Park, and Justin Bieber Baby Daddy news.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, starts off the nights by sharing some of the Grammy nominations that were announced tonight, courtesy of mjsbigblog.com. He moves on to the latest Justin Bieber Baby Daddy news, followed by the (mis)adventures of Kim and Kourtney Kardashian. Sales numbers from three new albums this week are next, including some disappointing numbers from the winner of The Voice. Alan then talks about tonight's X Factor performances.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, is having a "Celebration" tonight after America voted to send home a certain rapper from The X Factor competition. In fact, he's celebrating so much, he spends nearly 30 minutes talking about it. Once all the celebrating is out of his system, Alan moves on to talk about MMMHop, Courtney Love being Lindsay Lohan's sobriety coach, America's Got Talent, the Grammy nominations, The Voice, and American Idol. Phew. No wonder we're tired. That's a lot to pack into a 60-minute show.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, starts tonight's show on a somber note as he marks the passing of M*A*S*H* star Harry Morgan today. 102.7, WNBI Programmer, Duane, called into the show to talk about just how good Chris Rene's second performance tonight on The X Factor was. After a long conversation about Chris, Alan moves the topic on to how Glee is likely to forever ruin the Star Wars character Chewbacca next week. Celebrity Wife Swap graces the topic of conversation, followed by discussions about Ryan Seacrest and Alec Baldwin. Alan moves back to talking about The X Factor, which prompts Michael to call in.
Queen Angie joins Alan, aka the Token White Guy, for tonight's gold-laden Idol Radio Show. It's all about Nicole Scherzinger tonight as the two discuss her bone-headed decision to send the judges' vote to Deadlock. With Nicole's Facebook Fan Page blowing up, Alan and Angie read several of the comments posted and give their thoughts about why Nicole did what she did. Yet Alan and Angie are also aware of the fact that it was America's original vote that resulted in an act going home tonight.
It's a weird night for Alan, aka the Token White Guy, as he spends the first 15 minutes of the show talking about a very surreal major car accident and shooting that took place today just outside of his apartment complex. Once that is over with, Alan feels it's time for some Bieber Baby Daddy News, a protest against Time Magazine's Person of the Year, and a lot of Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos discussion. Shoutbox user Lloyd demands that the sports discussion ceases, so Alan moves on to discussing Adele, Fantasia Barrino, last week's Nicole Scherzinger / Rachel Crow fiasco, and how each of the contestants will place by the time next week is over.
The (sometimes) genius ChuckRitt joined Alan, aka the Token White Guy, for tonight's Idol Radio Show. The two talked mostly about tonight's X Factor elimination as well as who will win the season and why. A short conversation about the new America's Got Talent judge is followed by an apology by Alan for a mistake he made on the air last night. And the Shoutbox acting up causes Alan to unleash the most painful of punishments on the listeners.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, spends the first 15 minutes of tonight's show talking about his displeasure with the duets that took place on The X Factor. After he finishes venting, Alan passes on the sad news of a singer's death and how you just can't believe everything you see on the Internet. Khloe Kardashian takes the spotlight for no reason other than moving to the area while the original Lady GagGag gets center stage at the 2012 Superbowl. Alan talks about going to see the new The Muppets movie before having to go himself. The rest of the show focuses back on The X Factor and who should win.
It's the Season 5 Finale of the Idol Radio Show, and Alan, aka the Token White Guy, is talking about the winner of Season 1 of The X Factor. Several callers give their opinions of tonight's results show, including one who thinks a duet between Melanie Amaro and Adele would be amazing. Alan wonders if the whole cutting / bringing back of Melanie Amaro was a stunt and, if it was, what kind of stunt it was intended to be. ChuckRitt calls in to talk about his coming in last place in the in-show Bottom 2 competition followed by Queen Angie, who calls in to talk about coming in first place. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, people. The Idol Radio Show will return on Wednesday, January 11.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, thinks tonight's Idol Radio Show is a repeat instead of a Season Premiere, which causes him not to dress appropriately for the show. And what would a new season be without technical difficulties to get things going? Once everyone is on the same page, however, Duane calls in to request that Sir Darryl sing on the air, something Alan refuses to allow. Darryl talks about how excited he is about this summer's America's Got Talent season after which the guys talk about changes to this season's The Voice. The show ends with a 10-minute discussion about Ryan Seacrest and whether he will leave American Idol after this season.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, has a bone to pick with former Regular Commentator, Charlie Spillers (DO NOT visit CharlieSpillers.com), which results in Charlie making Alan cry live on the air several times. A Justin Bieber Baby Daddy News update yields that, well, there isn't anything to update anymore. Alan talks about the finale tomorrow of the soap opera, One Life To Live then moves on to the "WELL, DUH!" revelation from ABC that their casting last season on Dancing with the Stars was weak. Duane calls in to ask a question about all the competition shows on TV, which leads Alan to talk about how the So You Think You Can Dance results show has been cancelled and how he thinks the performance show will be cancelled after this season. Alan then plays a clip from his segment on today's Sir Darryl Radio Experience that resulted in Darryl saying that Alan has ruined the bathroom experience for him.
American Idol had it's Season 11 Premiere tonight, and Alan, aka the Token White Guy, spends most of the show talking about some of the most memorable American Idol castoffs, courtesy of Yahoo! Music. The list included some good duds (William Hung, Larry Platt, Renaldo Lapuz), some bad duds (Bikini Girl, Norman Gentle, Ian Benardo), and some good ones (Josiah Leming, Chris Medina, Sherman Pore). In addition, Duane called in to talk about the Ryan Seacrest look-a-like on tonight's AI auditions and Michael called in to say good for Astro Turkey getting signed.
Queen Angie joins Alan, aka the Token White Guy, for tonight's Idol Radio Show. The topics tonight included the disappointing ratings for last night's Season 11 Premiere, the Top 24 taping, another round of Bikini Girl, and how the show has been good about giving us punk auditions so far. Alan and Angie give their opinions about each of the Pittsburgh auditioners and a general overview of last night's Savannah auditions.

Alan, aka the Token White Guy, starts tonight's radio show by celebrating Groundhog's Day and revealing what happened when Sir Darryl was coaxed out of his bunker this morning to sing. The rumors about simon Cowell trying to sign Beyonce as a judge for the next season of The X Factor prompts Sir Darryl to call into the show to proclaim Alan crazy for thinking it wouldn't immediately give the show higher ratings than American Idol. Alan discusses Melanie Amaro's new single, "Respect," followed by giving his opinion about the best rendition of the song ever. Betty Buckley's tirade on Twitter against Randy Jackson is next, followed by a discussion of tonight's American Idol St. Louis auditions, including which of the six featured singers are rumored to have made the Top 24.
American Idol has named the Top 25, that's right, the Top 25, and Alan, aka the Token White Guy, and Queen Angie have something to say about it. But first, Alan tells all the listeners to look to Lloyd on how to be a proper fan of the Idol Radio Show. Alan and Angie then talk about tonight's AI twist and reveal that there will be a twist on the radio show before the night is over. Alan talks about who is in the lead on the two Top 12 that are posted on the website. Then Alan and Angie talk about each of the Top 24 contestants and give their opinion on them.
It's a sad day on the Idol Radio Show as Alan, aka the Token White Guy, pays tribute to Davy Jones while Sir Darryl admits that he doesn't have a funny bone. The guys then talk about the bad ratings this season for American Idol and how The Voice is officially rated higher for the season. Queen Angie throws a conniption fit in the Shoutbox, so Alan and Darryl talk about their favorites from the last two nights of Top 24 Performances. Needless to say, they often don't agree.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, and Sir Darryl host another Idol Radio Show tonight, with Alan accusing Darryl of trying to sabotage the show. Alan then breaks the news about a new show on MTV called Jersey Shore Babies. Darryl is upset when he hears that Gladys Knight is on the new season of Dancing with the Stars. A drive-by Reed Grimm shoutout happens on the show, by a slower MCS call-in. Queen Angie joins the guys halfway through the show to talk about the Top 13 American Idol contestants.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, starts out tonight's Idol Radio Show with news that the fiancee of America's Got Talent auditioner Tim Poe was on the local news defending Tim, especially the stutter. After that, Alan breaks the news that The Voice's Javier Colon has parted ways with his label (for more information, visit mjsbigblog.com. The X Factor's Rachel Crow is releasing a CD before winner Melanie Amaro, so Alan gives his thoughts about that.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, and the Idol Radio Show are back after being off the air for three months, which means he has no idea what the heck he is doing. Once Alan gets his footing, he asks why Sir Darryl was auditioning for The X Factor wearing a wedding dress, bright lipstick, and singing a Lady GagGag song. Duane, the Program Director for the Idol Radio Show affiliate, Max 94.5, calls in to welcome Alan back on the air. Alan celebrates the end of the Jersey Shore, asks why doing a porn tape seems to help celebrities' careers, and takes the media to task for the way they reported the Chris Brown tattoo. After all that, Alan talks about The Voice, including the changes we'll be seeing on the show this season as well as some of the auditions over the past three nights, including one auditioner who Alan says is more egotistical than American Idol's Tatiana Del Toro.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, starts off tonight's Idol Radio Show with Gracia Harrison's The Voice audition from Monday night. After discussing how normal fans can become a Superfan of the show, Alan talks about the American Idol judging rumors. Max 94.5 Program Director, Duane, hijacked the rest of the show by calling in. The two also talked about the head-to-head ratings for The X Factor and The Voice for Wednesday night.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, is flying solo on tonight's Idol Radio Show. He starts by explaining why there were no shows last week, then debates whether his listeners should visit CharlieSpillers.com. Alan then reveals that he is actually in the middle of a crises caused by his own father. Lady Gaga gets two news stories tonight, the first about her labral tear, which causes Alan to launch into a series of very bad puns. The second story is about how ditzy Lady Gaga sounds in deposition she gave last year.
Instead of a break tonight, Alan plays Zoanette Johnson's version of the National Anthem, a painful experience. That is followed by Papa Peachez American Idol audition. Alan then wonders why Stephanie Sanson's audition was allowed to air (and why her butt wasn't reddened after the first time she pulled this stunt). Alan then ends with why he wasn't happy with Matheus Fernandes audition.
