Ahmed Hussen graduated from York University with a BA in History in 2002. He is involved in the Canadian International Peace Project (CIPP) as its director of communications and sits on the task force for modernizing income security for working age adults of the Toronto City Summit Alliance. Ahmed has appeared on various media outlets in order to comment on issues affecting the Canadian Somali community and the peace process in Somalia. He has in the past worked with the RCMP’s Youth Engaged in National Security Issues committee and is currently the National President of the Canadian Somali Congress.
