It's a bad night for Alan, aka the Token White Guy, on tonight's Idol Radio Show. First, Alan has to deal with an extremely unprofessional Sir Darryl, who didn't bother to watch the very first part of tonight's American Idol. Alan then has to activate the Emergency Alert System so he can rant against the part he played in which American Idol contestant went home this week. Alan then levels new charges of discrimination against American Idol and explains why it means that Kree Harrison will win next week.
Alan and Darryl then talk about the news today that Randy Jackson is leaving American Idol. This leads to a conversation about the entire Judges' Table needing to be cut, followed by a conversation about just how bad, or ok, of a host The Voice's Carson Daly is. The guys then try to figure out what the point of Mariah Carey's new video is (you can watch it after the jump). The guys dish on some news about Jessica Sanchez, Clay Aiken, and Lauren Alaina.
Darryl and Alan spend the last fifteen minutes of the show talking about the America's Got Talent audition taping that Darryl attended today.
It's the end of the American Idol season as a new winner has been crowned. But the Idol Radio Show antics keep going as Sir Darryl, for some reason, decides to repeatedly call the Token White Guy by a different name. Tidus calls in to give his opinion about another white guy winning the competition and mentions Jessica Sanchez's time on the first season of America's Got Talent (the video will be posted on the website on Friday morning). Zip calls in to thank Alan for telling him that the Joshua Ledet and Fantasia duet would be the wrong time to go make a sandwich. Queen Angie and the Sometimes Genius ChuckRitt joins the guys to talk about the new American Idol winner, but not before Alan completely spoils how the TV series House ended Monday night. The foursome has a discussion about whether this was the best season of Idol ever, Ryan not dragging out the naming of the winner, Phillip Phillips crying as his song went on, and Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo getting engaged.
Alan, aka the Token White Guy, started off tonight's Idol Radio Show with a small tribute to Donna Summer, who passed away earlier today. Sir Darryl didn't have much constructive to say about it. The guys then moved on to American Idol, with Alan asking what was the reason that Jessica Sanchez was able to move on to the finale with Phillip Phillips. Darryl gets upset with NBC's decision to air The Voice twice next season, saying that the turnaround time is too short. Queen Angie joins the guys to talk about the big X Factor news that broke this week and what that means for the show. The three then talk about whether Jennifer Lopez's comments this week were intended to send a signal to Idol that she would demand more money to return next season.
