Alan, aka the Token White Guy, was out sick for tonight's Idol Radio Show, so DJSlim, owner of our sister site, IdolBlogLive.com, joined Sir Darryl to discuss the American Idol Top 9. The show starts with Darryl forgetting to make Slim's voice able to be heard on air, though considering how much Darryl dislikes Slim, some of us don't think that was an accident.
It's Happy Singles Awareness Day, and Alan, aka the Token White Guy, and Sir Darryl, are unhappy with how they have not been treated this day. That gives way to breaking Kris Humphries news, which then leads the guys to wonder what Kanye West's and Kim Kardashian's baby will look like. Somehow, this leads to a conversation about how good Nicki Minaj has been as an American Idol judge and how she has clearly become the start of the Judges' Table.
The steep ratings drop this season for American Idol dominates the conversation, followed by an in-depth discussion about the changes in the Group Round procedures this year and whether the round should not be overhauled completely. Alan shows his good taste when he mentions how great Dr. Pepper is, which is then followed by a discussion about shooting water up your nostril. Alan then forgets what he was going to say and wonders if he can write his notes on his arm and look at them as he talks. Alan and Darryl then talk about several Hollywood Week contestants, including the good, the bad, and the Turbanitor.
It's all about racism on tonight's Idol Radio Show, as Alan, aka the Token White Guy, and Sir Darryl talk about the possible lawsuit that nine former black American Idol contestants want to file against the TV show. The guys talk the claims being made, the scheme the lawyer says the show purports against black contestants, the nine contestants that are involved, and the other lawsuits that Season 2 contestant Corey Clark has filed.
Tonight's Idol Radio Show begins with Alan, aka the Token White Guy, making Sir Darryl jealous about the weather. After that discussion, Rigor Mortis sets in, followed by Sir Darryl getting grossed out at the concept of Bacon Cotton Candy. The guys then talk about Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga swapping crowns.
For the break, Alan plays a recording he obtained of Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera singing a new version of "Moves Like Jagger," a video of which you can see after the jump.
After the break, Alan tells Darryl what former American Idol contestant Jennifer Hudson said about the show. This leads to a discussion about seeing more past contestants on the show. The guys then talk about laying down while doing the show, banging heads against metal chairs, and having a disease named after you. Oh, and Darryl stormed off the set.
This is hot off the presses, the latest volley in the political ads for this election season. Not to spoil the surprise, but it is Samuel L. Jackson, in all his glory, warning us to Wake The *uck Up. Best Political Ad E V A H. And even better, it was a forward from CynDaddy, who shook off the Faux News/Rush Dittohead sheeple cloud he lives in long enough to hear "Cut Medicaid and SSN" to Wake the *uck UP. Wow, just wow.
Wrap Up Show was Beyond EPIC, it was C L A S S I C. Good Night Irene was kind enough to let cynmac have the hour for a SMACKDOWN and cynmac brought in her MAMA! Yes, cynmac unleashed the wrath of CYN-MAMA! And CYN-MAMA was awesome. Topics under discussion: Blacks voting for McCain, Mittens' failings, Hillary Clinton is a Queen, Darryl's 'sweetness', Sitter Paula Love, and the Musical Rebuttal. And that's just coverage of the Monday and Tuesday shows. Not to be missed, you need to download this one RIGHT NOW!
Preparing the soundboard for the Wrap Up Show in 1 hour, people. We have special guests calling in and we take Sir Darryl Roberts to task for all of his hubris on Monday and Tuesday. Wait? What? He had four new shows. Oh but Monday and Tuesday were so mucked up, it's going to take the whole hour to make amends to our loyal audience. Listen in please. Don't run for the hills.
EPIC show today full of Sir Darryl bashing! He got all defensive about a comment cynmac made in Facebook on Monday and spent Tuesday and Wednesday getting snippy. Mind you, these were the only new shows this week. Goodnight Irene and cynmac offered their rebuttals and even the fabulous Corey called in. Listen and join us in the LOLZ.
Tonight's Idol Radio Show begins with Sir Darryl being introduced by his theme song, one that he takes Alan, aka the Token White Guy, to task for playing. This leads to Darryl and Alan discussing which is worse: watching "Barney" or "Power Rangers" as an adult. Michael calls into the show to answer a question for Darryl regarding the cameras being used as The X Factor judges walk into the theater. The guys then talk about the four judges situation on American Idol as well as the splitting up of the coaches on The Voice.
Milestone 12th show! Crippled because Darryl ate some pizza tainted with 'meat juice' on Tuesday, forcing him to take Wednesday and Thursday off. Of course, The Girls give him crap for that! Other topics include Mini-me's future career, Mitten's lack of like-ability and 9/11. The truce with Radio Dan was also violated, as predicted. And the return of Alan and the Idol Radio Show was recognized. Boy, do we miss MCS!
