Sir Darryl tries to fake out Alan, aka the Token White Guy, to start tonight's Idol Radio Show, but then gets upset when Alan asks Darryl if his Mini-Me and Momma Roberts made it through the severe storms okay. Alan then takes Darryl to task for not knowing how to pronounce the word Begoña.

Alan and Darryl talk about the egg-throwing incident that happened at the Britain's Got Talent Finale last week. Darryl mentions how easy it would be to do something like this at any similar show while Alan is upset that the show opted not to press charges against the perpetrator. The guys then talk about the news that Nigel Lythgoe has been fired from his role as American Idol producer, with Alan explaining why he wishes Nigel had been given an opportunity to resign instead.

After Darryl is forced to change phones due to another incoming storm, he and Alan talk about the new NBC show The Winner Is. Alan gives his thoughts about how the show could have played up the game show aspect of it. The guys also disagree on who won the LaKisha Jones vs Lito Villareal duel Monday night.

To end the show, the guys talk about Travis Pratt's very surprising soprano opera voice, something neither of them expected to come from a big black man who has a relatively low voice. Alan also recommends that listeners check out Paul Thomas Mitchell's audition, while Darryl is still trying to come up with an idea about how Collins Key did that magic trick.

Alan, aka the Token White Guy, is solo again tonight. And alive, despite Sir Darryl's latest double elimination attempt (though Sir Darryl did get close this time). The recent news stories about the toilet-dumped Chinese baby boy and the man falsely accused of child rape on Facebook get Alan's dander up enough that he feels the need to discuss them.

On a lighter, yet disgusting, note, Alan talks about the toilet paper shortage in Venezuela. This shortage reminds him of Sheryl Crow's 2007 advice of finding a way to just use one square of toilet paper as well as learning how to wash that one square out. Alan then talks about the Adam Levine "I hate this country" controversy from Tuesday night's The Voice. This results in Alan getting upset that this is a controversy to begin with and taking to task everyone who failed to add the context of the utterance into consideration.

Sir Patrick Stewart tries pizza for the first time in his 72 years of living (how the heck is that possible). And the night ends with two negative stories about Justin Bieber, starting with Saturday Night Live's Bill Hader calling the Biebs a diva and ending with Bieber's neighbors calling out his reckless driving through the neighborhood.

Today I could not help but rant about a couple I met who hate reality TV!!  That plus my thoughts on The Bachelorette!
